Not really.

They would add a bit more gold items into the market, but it's inefficient to "farm" these chests by creating new characters, so you can't really abuse them.

Go to guildwiki and type......treasure in the search bar theres a map to all the loctions !! There arent just chest !! Do not touch 2 of them Treasure Chest 5 Buried treasure 5 !! Good luck Guys,they are all gold drops and ramdom Gems and u get Gold also .Most gold I recieved was 3p53gp from the Treasure chest.The farther in the game the better the gold a drop!!!

Oh Yeah only one time per Char!! No Chest running on these lol !!!

That's kinda mean... I know they're nice and all to put the treasure in there in the first place, but there's no way I can get my other 7 characters through to the end in time, and now I'll be stuck wondering what I would have gotten if only I had played nonstop...

Plus it makes me feel like rushing characters a bit when they're close to areas with chests, and I really don't like that. I'd prefer to play in my own time.

It wouldn't ruin the economy to keep them in the game, because the biggest effects are apparent right now, when people are taking their finished characters to all chests in one go. The effect would only lessen over time: once the finished characters got all their treasures, only characters going through the game would be getting theirs, so treasures would be opened at a slower rate.

I pity the newer players to nightfall, they are the ones who needed the treasure chest most, yet have not perhaps had the chance to advance far enough into the game to benefit from it since it is seasonal.

I'll probably try and "rush" a couple of characters through. It'll be interesting just doing the main missions, no Masters, side quests or much elite capping.

I might be looking into it too much, but is anyone else a little questioning about the term "seasonal"? Does this imply that the chests may reappear at other times, not just the Wintersday season?

it's not mean at all.

it's good of anet to even place them in the game.
and if you don't want to rush then don't rush, there's plenty of other ways to make money....

Anet is only rewarding the people who bothered to take their characters through the whole game, by making it a "Christmas gift". If you get a gift certificate to a restaurant you hate, you don't complain to the person who gave it to you. Accept it and do what you can.

well there is technically a way to get all chest for all your PvE toon.

Dont close your client when the new patch comes to remove the wintersday updates and take your time to play and get all the treasures.

Downside is that you got to keep your computer on and not close the client, logging off is ok and of course there no one else in the towns but you. However if you play with Herohench anyways it doesnt matter.

I ran Eldred(Necro), Highwind(Ranger) and Yuki(Warrior) through all the chests up to Vabbi.

Let's just say I have enough for Yuki's 15k primeval dyed black.

It was nice of them to put them in game yes and I did make a nice amount..but no there aren't plenty of other *fun* ways to make money in a game. It's a game making money for items you want/need should be fun. But hahaha since Anet doesn't know what pleases every person, a lot of them get shafted.

Yeah , i discovered em all too on allot of charrs ...got bout 100K platinum and then Sup vigor (2x :O) +30 for scythe Sword and Spear and some other mods ... lets just say i have enough for some 15K armors too

to be honest, i'm glad they're seasonal, because chances are, that means we get new ones for every season which = more money! so no, it's not unfair that they will be gone soon.
